CAT SANDOVAL
Cat Sandoval joined WISH-TV in April of 2023 as a member of I-Team 8.
Born in the Philippines, Cat moved around her whole life and jokes that her parents have ‘itchy feet’.
She’s lived in Redlands in California, Philipsburg in New Jersey, Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, New York City and Chicago.
Although she’s now an official Hoosier, Cat is no stranger to Indiana. She graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle.
Cat has been studying journalism since high school where she was a reporter and then chief news editor for her high school newspaper. She also interned at MSNBC and was a video journalist for the New York Post and New York Daily News. Outside of her main jobs, Cat owned a boutique video production company in New York City where she served various clients on projects ranging from film productions, documentaries and commercials.
Before joining WISH-TV, Cat was a Chicago-based national correspondent for Scripps News, formerly Newsy, for 6 years. She is also a former New York City Chapter President of the Asian American Journalists Association.
Outside of the newsroom, Cat loves running and hopes to be able to run another marathon while living in Indianapolis. She’s also a karaoke nut who loves to jam to Broadway tunes, 90’s pop or random songs on Spotify.
You can catch her on WISH-TV News weekdays, usually in the 5pm and 6pm newscasts.
