CHRIS WAKEFIELD

Chris Wakefield was born and raised in Indianapolis. His 20-year career in broadcasting and journalism started at Northwest High School, where he was an anchor and special assignments reporter for WNHS news. 

During college, Chris wrote for IUPUI Magazine and began to study Indianapolis history under the mentorship of some of Indy’s brightest historians. 

Chris has written history and business articles for several local and national outlets, including The Saturday Evening Post. For the last ten years, he has published articles and essays about Indianapolis history for Circle City Talk. 

When not researching and writing about the history of WISH-TV and Indianapolis, Chris spends his time traveling the world with his husband and two children.
