Jeremy Jenkins is WISH-TV’s Daybreak Anchor He joined the News 8 team in December 2023. 

Prior to WISH-TV, Jeremy spent five years at the NBC affiliate in Lancaster, Pennsylvania as a Reporter and Weekend Evening Anchor. He was on the frontlines for several stories that gained national attention, most notably the two-week manhunt for escaped prison inmate Danilo Cavalcante and the deadly R.M.Palmer chocolate factory explosion. His work garnered a Keystone Media Award and two Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award nominations. Jeremy also spent time in Tyler, Texas and Missoula, Montana. 

When Jeremy isn’t on the frontline of breaking news, he enjoys participating in events that highlight causes and individuals making a difference in the community. In 2018, he was nominated for Favorite News Personality for the Missoulian’s annual Missoula Choice Award. Jeremy’s also an award-winning fundraiser for Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure. Other organizations he’s worked with include Relay for Life, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Keystone Business Alliance, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Jeremy’s love for storytelling and public service developed during a study abroad course in Costa Rica when he experienced the ‘Pura Vida’ spirit. He would return from his trip, change his major and go on to graduate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a degree in Mass Communications. 

When it’s time to relax, you can find Jeremy near the canal with his Air Pods in enjoying 90’s hits or a good audiobook.
