MARLEE THOMAS
Marlee grew up on a small farm near Kokomo and graduated from Ball State University in 2020. After she graduated, she accepted a job at WLFI as the Weekday Morning Anchor and Reporter. After three years on the morning show, she switched to evenings. She anchored the Weekday Evening News for two years.
While at WLFI Marlee started her own weekly segment focusing on Indiana agricultural news. She enjoyed highlighting the thriving livestock and agricultural industry in the Hoosier state.
Outside of her full-time job, Marlee enjoys being active in the community. She loves Emceeing and participating in community events. Marlee was recently awarded the 2024 Top 10 Under 40 Award from Greater Lafayette Commerce for the impact she’s made on the community.
If you’re a Purdue fan you’ve probably seen Marlee before. This is her fourth year as the In-Game Host for Purdue Men’s Basketball. She enjoys hosting the games and interacting with fans. She also conducts post-game interviews with the players.
Outside of work, Marlee enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves riding her horse and spending time with her two young nephews.
Marlee is excited to be working at WISH-TV as a Lifestyle Reporter. She’s eager to meet new people in the community and tell fun and exciting stories!”
