IMS unveils 2023 Bronze Badge for Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Three-time Indianapolis 500 pole winner Ed Carpenter unveiled the 2023 Bronze Badge on Thursday at Stout Field, the headquarters of the Indiana National Guard.

This year’s Bronze Badge design features the historic Pagoda during the flyover, which has been performed by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds in previous years.

The badge honors the 110th anniversary of the Pagoda, and the people who serve our country.

“The Bronze Badge, which has represented pit and garage access at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for decades, is one of the most treasured keepsakes for our fans,”

IMS President J. Douglas Boles

Fans can purchase a Bronze Badge, which allows access to Gasoline Alley on selected dates during the month of May. Each Bronze badge holder must be 18 or older and is required to sign a lease.
