$10M raised to renovate Indiana Farmers Coliseum

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana State Fair Foundation announced Sunday it has finished a campaign to raise money to renovate the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

The fundraiser pulled in $10 million that will go toward the $53 million renovation, officials said.

The Coliseum project will also include the addition of a youth pavilion and another arena.

“The one thing people said to us as we were going through this process was: preserve it, don’t tear it down,” said Cindy Hoye, executive director of the Indiana State Fair Foundation. “It means something to Hoosiers, just make sure it can adapt to the 21st Century.

The Coliseum Campaign is the first fundraising effort for the Indiana State Fair Foundation, which was formed five years ago.
