How to keep your pets safe this 4th of July feat. Nicole Ellis

Keep your pets safe this 4th of July

As people plan their 4th of July celebrations, pet safety often gets overlooked.

This is why Nicole Ellis, a Certified Personal Dog Trainer, is hosting a FREE class in partnership with Rover and Varsity Tutors. The class, titled “Rover Presents: Dogs, Fireworks, & Summer Safety,” will take place on June 27th.

She joined us on All Indiana to share valuable tips on keeping dogs and cats safe during summer celebrations.

She shared ways to help pets cope with the loud sounds of fireworks, recommend products that can reduce anxiety, and offer training advice for the days leading up to the 4th of July.

“If you’re not going to be home on the 4th, or you’re going to a friend’s house or you’re watching the fireworks, find a pet sitter, a friend, or somebody that could stay with your pet, comfort your pet, and they’re not going t try to escape hopefully,” Ellis explained.
