Indianapolis Art Center debuts ‘Into the Garden’ exhibit
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new exhibit at the Indianapolis Art Center is giving people a chance to support local artists during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Into the Garden” exhibit features more than 50 works of art from more than a dozen Indianapolis-based artists. Director of education for the Art Center, Colton Pedro, is excited for the artists to have a chance to showcase their work once again.
“I think for them it’s a form of validation [and] getting to express yourself again,” Pedro said. “We’re so used to making work where everyone can’t see it. Finally getting to share it again is just some level of normal that we can get back to.”
Like all of the Art Center’s exhibitions, Into the Garden will be free and open to the public and will be on display until Sept. 29. The exhibit will also run along two solo artist exhibitions.
