Anderson man raped children and bribed them with candy, police say
ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – Anderson police say 41-year-old Kevin Germain of Anderson repeatedly raped and bribed children with candy for several years.
According to court documents, two juveniles came forward to police and Indiana Department of Child Services and described situations where Germain would make a boy perform sexual acts and then reward him with candy.
The victim said this had happened 11-15 times between 2016 and 2017.
That child described Germain performing sexual acts with another female juvenile, police say.
The female juvenile told police that Germain had been raping her for several years, with the most recent time being in June of 2024.
The juvenile also disclosed that Germain had shown her videos of ‘people with no clothes on’ and told her not to tell anyone because he did not want to go back to prison, according to police.
Police say Germain denied the allegations and was arrested and charged with child molestation, a Level 1 felony, and sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony.
Germain was convicted in 2011 of battery committed with a deadly weapon resulting in serious injury in 2011. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
