Borg Warner Trophy features only one non-driver’s face
SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) – The Borg Warner Trophy features the winners of the Indianapolis 500, but there is only one face on the trophy that isn’t an IndyCar driver.
A 24 karat gold portrait of late Speedway owner and President Anton Tony Hulman Jr. is featured on the trophy. His image was added in 1987 in tribute to his rejuvenation of the track and the Indianapolis 500 following World War II.
