Carmel to recognize, honor military members with annual Veterans Day ceremony
CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – Thursday is Veterans Day.
However, ahead of the day to recognize and remember the commitment and sacrifice of those who served in the military, Carmel is recognizing them on Wednesday.
Carmel is having their annual Veterans Day ceremony.
This year’s theme is “Freedom is Never Free.”
Those expected to participate in the annual event include Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard, and former USAF Thunderbird pilot Matt Modleski.
There will be performances by the Mohawk Trails Elementary School choir and the Actors Theatre of Indiana.
Also, the winners of the “Freedom is Never Free” poster and essay contest will be recognized.
The event, which gets underway at noon and is open to the public, will be at the Tarkington Theater at The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel.
