Chicken McGriddle being tested at central Ohio McDonald’s

COLUMBUS (WCMH)- The fast food restaurant will be testing the Chicken McGriddle at some of its central Ohio locations.

According to Columbus Business First, 11 McDonald’s in the area will be testing the sandwich which consists of a fried chicken patty along with maple syrup-infused pancake buns.

Brian Mortellaro, who owns eight local McDonald’s, helped create the unique menu item.

“It’s a chicken-and-waffles taste,” Mortellaro told Columbus Business First . “I just think that’s something that isn’t out there right now.”

The paper said the sandwich will be available until March 27.
