Cold start to the workweek
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– Saturday’s snowfall will end up in the record books!
Indianapolis measured 6.9 inches of snow, which tied the daily snowfall record set back in 1964.
The season snowfall is now up to 7.8 inches, which is still more than 3 inches below normal.
The snow has ended and the skies begin to clear Sunday night. This will allow temperatures to fall into the teens in most locations. We may see a few slicks spots with some refreezing. So watch out for those areas that haven’t been treated.
After a cold start we’ll see lots of sunshine on Monday. Don’t forget the sunglasses! Highs will climb to the lower 30s. It gets cold once again Monday night with lows falling into the teens again.
Skies become partly cloudy on Tuesday with temperatures climbing into the middle 30s.
We’ll see a couple of chances for rain or snow during the end of the week with highs in the upper 30s. Another storm system may bring us snow for the following weekend. While it’s way to early to speculate on snowfall amounts it will be cold. Highs will struggle to reach 20 next weekend and lows may dip into the single digits.
