Community Link: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Each week in Community Link Carolene Mays-Medley and Marco Dominguez take a look at an organization or business that is making a positive impact on the community.
This time that organization they looked was Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the first African American sorority.
This week they spoke to Nichole Wilson, president of the sorority’s Alpha Mu Omega chapter.
Wilson discussed some of the major programs of the Indianapolis chapter, which includes mentoring young girls in the 6th grade all the way to college.
Wilson also talked about the 85th Central Regional Conference which will be coming to Indianapolis at the end of March.
