Crash shuts part of SR 37 in Bloomington
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) – A crash involving multiple vehicles shut down part of State Road 37 in Bloomington early Friday morning.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, northbound State Road 37 was closed, north of Kinser Pike and south of Bottom Road, because of the crash that happened before 5 a.m.
Officials say it involved 2-3 vehicles, including a semi that overturned across the highway. Police said only minor injuries were reported and that those hurt were treated at the scene.
Around 11 a.m., one lane of northbound SR 37 was back open. At that point, crews still hadn’t removed the semi from the road. Officials say once the wrecker arrived to move the truck, both northbound lanes of 37 would be closed for a short period of time.
