3 arrested in Kokomo homicide/kidnapping case
KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) — Police in Kokomo have made three arrests in a homicide/kidnapping case.
Investigators said Thursday morning that Troy Wilson has been arrested on preliminary charges of criminal confinement and aggravated battery.
Uriah Levy was taken into custody on the same charges about 1:30 p.m. Thursday after Kokomo Police Department received a tip from a citizen.
Steve Allen turned himself in to the Howard County Sheriff Department at 10:40 a.m. Thursday. He is charged with for aiding, inducing or causing criminal confinement.
All three suspects are from Kokomo.
Police are investigating the death of Lashay Young-Beard, found dead in the backyard of a residence in the 700 block of South Courtland Avenue on the evening of Feb 3.
After police found Young-Beard, they entered the residence to find a man tied up in the bathtub. He had duct tape on his mouth and was bound at the wrists and ankles. He told police he had been confined at the residence for 11 days. He said that he and Young-Beard knew their assailants. He said he had been battered and burned with hot water over the period of 11 days.
