Arrest made in east side double shooting that killed man, injured woman

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An arrest has been made in connection with a double shooting that happened earlier this month, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced Friday. The shooting left a man dead and a woman injured.

Travis Lang, 23, was arrested on Monday for his involvement in the case.

The shooting happened on Oct. 1 near the intersection of North Oxford and East 11th streets. The two victims were found shot inside of a car.

The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was identified as Dylan McGinnis, 24. He died of gunshot wound injuries.

The woman, who has not been identified, was stable when taken to a hospital.

McGinnis was the city’s 200th homicide of 2021.
