RICHMOND, Ind. (WISH) — Authorities are searching for three women and three children after authorities say the women absconded with the children due to a custody battle.

According to Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, arrest warrants have been issued for Heather Jo Frost, Nancy Frost and Abby Frost.

Authorities say Heather Frost, with the assistance of her mother, Nancy, and sister, Abbey, eluded law enforcement and hid three children. The women are believed to have an 8-year old boy, a 3-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl with them. The group is believed to have ties to Hagerstown, Indiana.

Trace, 8, has brown hair and brown eyes. Emery, 3, has light brown hair and brown eyes. Lane, 3, has blonde hair and brown eyes. The women are accused of taking the children due to a custody battle, authorities say.

“The three family members have absconded with three children, withholding two of the children from their fathers and deliberately ignoring a court order,” Wayne County Sheriff Randy Retter said in a press release sent to News 8 Saturday morning.

The women may have altered their appearance and could be using fake identities.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the women and children is asked to call Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Detective Clevenger at 765-973-9393 Ext. 1537 or the Wayne County Emergency Communication Department at 765-973-9355.
