Body found at trash service facility in Lawrence
LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — A body was discovered Thursday morning at a Ray’s Trash Service transfer station on the city’s far-northeast side.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the person as Jon Esterline, 37. His cause and manner of death continued to be investigated.
Just after 9 a.m. Thursday, Lawrence Police Department responded to a report of a body found at the facility, 10000 E. 56th St. Employees had discovered Esterline as they were transferring items to be transported to a landfill.
Police determined Thursday that Esterline had likely arrived at the station within the last 24 hours. It was unknown Thursday where Esterline came from prior to arriving at the facility.
Police have not yet ruled the death a homicide.
