Brinks employee robbed while refilling ATM in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) — Police are investigating after a Brinks employee was robbed at gunpoint while refilling an ATM.

Lawrence police say it happened just after 10 a.m. Friday at the Chase bank at 4200 N. Franklin Road.

The employee said he was approached from behind by at least two men. One of them had a handgun.

Lawrence police say the suspects then fled, possibly into a nearby vehicle.

Police have not provided a description of the suspects or a vehicle.

No one was injured.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
