Columbus 37-year-old’s shooting death ruled homicide
UPDATE: An autopsy released March 2 revealed Leonardo Rodriguez-Flores, 37, of Columbus died in a homicide after a gunshot to the face, the Bartholomew County Coroner’s Office says.
UPDATE: The victim in a fatal shooting the night of Feb. 26 was identified Feb. 27 as Leonardo Rodriguez-Flores, 37, of Columbus, according to the Columbus Police Department. An autopsy is set for Friday.
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Police in Columbus are investigating a fatal Wednesday evening shooting.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers were called to the Tool Dynamics parking lot in the 800 block of South Marr Road just at 11:15 p.m. for an injured person.
After arriving on the scene, officers found a deceased adult male with apparent gunshot wounds.
While investigating, officers found the victim’s silver-colored 1998 Honda Civic in a parking lot in the 2700 block of State Street.
Police are asking anyone who lives or has a business in that area with a surveillance camera to contact the Columbus Police Department at 812-376-2600.
No suspect information has been released.
