Man, woman killed in Saturday east side shooting ID’d

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Two people shot and killed in a weekend shooting on the city’s east side have been identified.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 6:36 p.m. Saturday to the 1900 block of North Audubon Road on a report of a person shot. That’s a residential area just off 21st Street and Ritter Avenue.

They arrived to find a man and a woman suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, IMPD said.

On Monday, the Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 40-year-old David Taylor and 19-year-old Madison Day.

No information about the circumstances of the shooting were immediately available.
