Dry air and heat returns this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Generally rain free and muggy for the next couple of days after much needed showers and storms.

TONIGHT: A few spotted showers and storms could push into the area through the early evening hours. Partly cloudy tonight with overnight clearing to drop the low to 65°.

TOMORROW: It will be a comfortable start to your Thursday with mid 60s and partly cloudy skies.

There will be times of clouds and sun throughout the day keeping the daytime high at 84°.

It will be a dry day for most of us, but a possible shower or two can pop up tomorrow night for the northwest region. The low will be 68°.

WEEKEND: Temperatures will continue to climb heading into the weekend. There is a chance for an isolated shower on Friday, but a mostly dry weekend ahead.

Near 90° temps return this weekend with a high of 87° on Saturday and a high of 88° on Sunday. Heat indices will be in the 90s this weekend with the higher humidity values.

8-DAY FORECAST: After a muggy weekend, rain chances return for the start of the work week. Very warm on Monday with an isolated storm chance and 90° for a high.

Best chance for rain on Tuesday with scattered showers and storms. Dry again on Wednesday with a cool off for the second half of the week with highs in the mid to low 80s.
