‘Christmas Tree of Kindness’ app creator talks with Daybreak team
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Consider this Christmas in July — a Christmas-themed app is one person’s answer to a need for more kindness in the world.
The app, called “The Christmas Tree of Kindness,” revolves around one basic idea: be nice, earn ornaments.
Beth Duffy, the brains behind the app, was on Daybreak Thursday.
Duffy explained that good deeds must be completed to earn ornaments for users’ virtual trees.
“You pick a background, you name a tree and you select the number of ornaments — that could be 10, 15, 20 or 25,” she said. “And then, you can either enter your own kind act or choose from a list of suggestions.”
