Festival to showcase Indiana artists for live paint sessions
NASHVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Artists from across the state will showcase their talent during a live painting session at this year’s National Maple Syrup Festival in Brown County.
On both March 7 and 8, artists will set up and paint live for visitors, capturing Brown County’s landscape and heritage as one of America’s original artists’ colonies.
Paintings can be purchased right off the easel or from the Brown County Art Gallery. Part of the proceeds will go toward the gallery’s expansion project.
Other activities during the March 5-8 festival include live sugaring demonstrations, historical re-enactments, a culinary competition, a pancake breakfast and the sale of maple-related goods and foods.
