Former Lawrence Township judge arrested for sexual misconduct

SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A former judge and current attorney in Shelby County is facing four criminal charges, according to court records.

The records state that Clark Rehme is facing three counts of sexual misconduct and one count of official misconduct.

Rehme was formerly a Lawrence Township judge.

Police say on multiple occasions he met with female clients in an interview room at the Shelby County Jail. They say he then engaged in sex acts with the women.

Rehme was caught when one of the women who complained agreed to a sting operation to catch him in the act, according to the court records.

Police took Rehme into custody following the operation.
