Fort Campbell soldier shot, killed outside home

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are investigating after a 21-year-old Fort Campbell soldier was shot and killed outside of his home early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, Liperial “Savon” Easterling was shot as he approached his home located in the 2800 block of Teakwood Drive just after 1 a.m.

Evidence revealed two suspects may have been shooting at Easterling.

A motive was not immediately known. Police said their investigation has not revealed any connection to drug or gang-related activities.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.

Easterling’s death has been ruled a homicide.
