Giraffe at zoo nursed back to health
SAN DIEGO, Cali. (WISH) – A baby giraffe was nursed back to health, after it was found that he was was extremely ill.
Baridi received round the clock care until he was able to walk on his own.
“Taking care of Baridi has been a very rewarding experience for all of us keepers,” said Lissa McCaffree, lead keeper in the Animal Care Center nursery at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. “He’s been a pleasure to work with. He has a great personality, and we looked forward to feeding him every day.”
Once Baridi is strong enough, he will be moved to the East Africa exhibit with the other young giraffes.
