ISDH: 862 more COVID-19 cases, 51 more deaths reported in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana State Department of Health has issued new numbers related to COVID-19

ISDH says there are 862 new cases, bringing the state’s total to 21,870. 51 more Hoosiers have died as a result of the virus, bringing the total to 1,264. A total of 120,496 Hoosiers have been tested.

Marion County had 315 new cases, the most in the state.

Officials in Indiana are not yet providing information on recoveries. Dr. Kris Box has said that information will be available as soon as medical codes are created that will offer COVID-19 recovery information, which the state does not currently have.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 3,689,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 1,210,702 recoveries and more than 258,000 deaths.
