Homeless man stabbed near downtown Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are looking for someone who they say stabbed a man in downtown Indianapolis late Tuesday night.

It happened not far from Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Georgia Street.

Officers say two people got into a fight around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday under a bridge on Pennsylvania Street. Police say it’s a spot where homeless people frequently sleep and that someone stabbed a homeless man and ran off.

According to police, the man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

No other details were released.
