Horror film made in Indiana receives year-end recognition

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) – An Indiana-made horror film is getting some recognition around the globe.

“Proxy” was written and directed by Zack Parker of Richmond. The film follows the life of a pregnant woman who loses her child during a vicious attack and develops a friendship at a support group for grieving mothers.

The Palladium-Item  reports the film was ranked No. 1 on the Ain’t It Cool News Horror List of Top 31 films and No. 2 on a Top 10 Horror Films list produced by the United Kingdom’s Daily Record. It also made other lists.

Parker says the year-end recognition will help fuel interest in the film as DVD and Blu-ray releases are planned in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and other countries.

He’s already planning his next project.
