‘Inchworm bandits’ crawl to avoid cameras
HOUSTON (CNN) — Police in Houston, Texas, say thieves broke into a restaurant and crawled along the floor in an effort to avoid security cameras.
They’re now calling the suspects “the inchworm bandits.”
Police said they crawled to a backroom where they got into a locked room and grabbed about $450. The restaurant owner said it was tip money for servers from this past weekend.
The suspects got away. Police said they may be responsible for a similar crime at a near-by pizza place.
