Indiana martial arts team seeks support for international competition
It’s time to compete on the biggest stage in the world, and three local martial artists need your help getting there!
Taylor Dorothy, Kelly Kunst, and Gavin Kunst have qualified to represent USA at the WKU World Championships in Athens, Greece this October! As you can imagine, it takes a lot of monetary support to get there, such as uniform costs, travel and hotel expenses, among others, so they need your help!
Taylor, Kelly, and Gavin train at Ikick Martial Arts in Demotte, Indiana under the guidance of Ms. Brooke Harrington, who has taught all three local WKU Team USA members all of their techniques and forms.
WKU stands for the World Karate/Kickboxing Union. People from around the world try out for a spot on their country’s team to compete at WKU Worlds.
This premium tournament is for the disciplines of Forms, Karate Kumite, Pointfighting, Light Contact, Full Contact, and Kickboxing with Lowkicks. The strongest women and men of modern and traditional martial arts will challenge the finest fights of the world.
