1 killed, 1 critically injured in Anderson crash

ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) – One person was killed and a second person was critically injured in a Sunday evening crash in Anderson, according to the Anderson Police Department.

Just after 5 p.m., officers were called to I-69 NB near mile marker 226 for a two-vehicle crash.

Police said that a 2003 Chevy S-10 was headed north when it struck another vehicle, hit a guard rail, which caused the truck to roll.

During this crash, both the driver of the truck, 30-old-year-old Jacob Church, and the passenger, 42-year-old Mendy Church, were ejected.

Mendy Church was pronounced dead at the scene while Jacob Church was transported to the Indianapolis hospital in critical condition. No one in the other vehicle was injured.

The deadly crash remains under investigation.
