INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Friday it arrested two people Thursday morning after a theft investigation.

Detectives noticed a vehicle leaving a business around 7:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of Georgetown Road. When they arrived at the business, they noticed several vehicles had been broken into. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and several items were found inside.

Catherine Dates, 27, and Ernest Holifield, 31, were detained, and the detective returned to the business and found nine vehicles had broken windows and some had items stolen.

Dates and Holifield were arrested on theft charges. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
