Indiana’s Governor-elect Eric Holcomb holds press conference after win
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana’s Governor-elect, Eric Holcomb held a press conference Wednesday afternoon after his win.
Holcomb, Lieutenant Governor-elect Suzanne Crouch, and members of the Holcomb-Crouch Team also attended the conference in Indianapolis.
When asked about his plans for Indiana, Holcomb said he “intends to take the state to the next level. So we will be measuring what we do on a daily basis, soliciting support from Hoosiers from all over the state of Indiana to achieve that goal.”
After learning of his victory in the race of governor, Holcomb said that Gov. Pence was his first call.
Holcomb went on to say that he has “high hopes for the future of Indiana.”
Wednesday’s press conference comes after Republican Holcomb was declared the winner over Democrat John Gregg Tuesday night
In addition to Holcomb’s win in the governor’s race, Republicans also fared well in other state-wide races. Jennifer McCormick defeated Glenda Ritz in the superintendent race, Curtis Hill won election as Indiana’s next attorney general and Todd Young held off Evan Bay in the the U.S. Senate race.
