A name change for West Lafayette medical tech company

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — West Lafayette-based medical contract research company Bioanalytical Systems Inc. has changed its corporate name to Inotiv Inc. The move also includes a change to the ticker symbol on Nasdaq to NOTV.

The company says the change was approved last week by its shareholders.

Inotiv says the switch represents the company’s growth since its launch in November 2019. The firm has acquired several companies over the past two years, including Seventh Wave Laboratories, Smithers Avanza Toxicology Services, and Pre-Clinical Research Services.

“Since the launch of the Inotiv brand in 2019, we’ve worked hard to execute on our growth strategy by strengthening our capabilities, investing in our service offerings, infrastructure and people, and messaging our ‘Expect More’ philosophy to prospects and clients,” said Company President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Leasure. “Changing our corporate name was a logical step towards solidifying our brand and clearly communicating what it reflects— a broadly capable, right-sized CRO with a fundamental goal of delivering exceptional client experiences.”

Leasure says Inotiv intends to continue to operate its research product manufacturing division under the name BASi Research Products.
