AM General lands $29M army contract

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a more than $29 million contract to South Bend-based AM General LLC. The three-year contract calls for the manufacturing of Humvee diesel engines with containers for the U.S. Army.
The DoD says the work will be performed in Indiana. AM General’s Humvee manufacturing plant is in Mishawaka. The contract calls for the work to be completed by July 30, 2023.
The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Warren, Michigan.
