LEBANON, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – The Boone Economic Development Corp. is launching its lifestyle brand, “Boone Living.” The EDC says the resident-focused marketing efforts include a newly-designed portion of its website, a lifestyle blog, and a series of short videos that highlight stories from the county’s employers, residents, and employees.

According to the EDC, the targeted marketing efforts are expected to improve the overall business and workforce attraction efforts and goals set by the Boone EDC.

“There is no better advocate for our communities than the voices of the people who live and work here,” said Chassity Neckers, director of marketing and communications. “There is such a breadth of knowledge, experience, and pride that I’ve found in marketing our communities in Boone County. This project capitalizes on that.”

The EDC says blog topics will include home improvement, local restaurant features, as well as retail and shopping tips, among other topics.

“This last year taught us that we can live and work anywhere. As this trend develops, research has shown that people will explore areas just outside major cities to make their move,” said Boone EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead. “Boone County is uniquely positioned for this opportunity given our proximity to I-65, Lafayette, and downtown Indy. This effort is one way we can show potential employers, workers, and residents what life could be like when they move here.”
