Fort Wayne Part of Everstream’s $250M Expansion
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Cleveland-based fiber network Everstream is investing more than $250 million this year as part of a growth strategy designed to boost its presence in the Midwest. As part of the plan, the company aims to open a local office in Fort Wayne and bring its services to the Allen County market.
In 2020, Everstream plans to bring its high-speed connectivity to five midwest markets, including Chicago, St. Louis, Dayton, Fort Wayne and Louisville, Kentucky.
The company says it will open local offices in each city and hire more than 100 total new employees.
The strategic plan follows a successful 2019, in which the company invested more than $70 million in new network construction.
“Everstream’s goals for 2020 are aggressive,” said Everstream President and Chief Executive Officer Brett Lindsey. “We actively continue our network build to provide high-capacity, low-latency connectivity to businesses throughout the Midwest. At the same time, we are also strategically pursuing acquisition and partnership opportunities that will help us reach our goals more quickly while densifying the network already in place. Because of the tremendous growth we’re experiencing, 2020 is going to be an exciting year for Everstream and our customers.”
