FRANKLIN, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Franklin College has announced its plan to return students to campus. Franklin College President Kerry Prather outlined the “Fortify Franklin” plan in a video message to students and staff.

“‘Fortify Franklin’ really is a road map for ensuring that our campus community can return to its important business with every one of us being responsible for our own and each other’s health and safety,” said Prather.

The college has worked with local health professionals and is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, as well as partnering with the Indiana Department of Health on a comprehensive plan.

“We will continue to monitor the trends of COVID-19 and consult frequently with the local health department,” said Prather. “The situation remains fluid, and our plan will be adjusted as conditions warrant. Our decisions will be guided, as they have been since this challenge surfaced last spring, by the priority of health and safety.”

Classes are scheduled to resume on Aug. 31.
