Mooresville creates COVID-19 relief fund
MOORESVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission has established a small business COVID-19 relief fund with the Morgan County Economic Development Corporation to help with recovery and job retention.
The MRDC is putting up $50,000 toward the program.
“COVID-19 has had such an impact on everyone and we recognize the issues it’s created for businesses, both big and small,” said Dustin Stanley, Chairman of the MRDC and a Town of Mooresville Councilman. “Because of the Governor’s public health emergency, this is something the MRDC can do to assist our small businesses to help them through this trying time.”
The program allows eligible small businesses to apply for a loan of up to 3 months rent/mortgage, amount spent on construction, rehab, or repair of commercial property within Mooresville TIF district within the last 2 years, or $5,000.
Applications are currently being accepted and will be reviewed by a committee of Mooresville Town Council representatives, MRDC and MCEDC beginning on May 25. More details can be found here.
