Raytheon lands $29M military contract

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) – Massachusetts-based Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded a $29 million military contract for its plant in Fort Wayne. The U.S. Department of Defense says the contract calls for the procurement of Jordan’s Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System.

The work will be performed in Fort Wayne and is expected to be complete by October 2024.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Earlier this year, IIB reported BAE Systems Inc., headquartered in the United Kingdom, announced plans to acquire Raytheon’s Airborne Tactical Radios business based in Fort Wayne.
