Southwest Indiana towns land grant funding
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Several communities in southwestern Indiana have received competitive grant funding through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs to help small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The $950,000 in grants is designed for high-risk categories of businesses with 25 or fewer employees. Businesses include food and beverage, personal care, professional services and retail.
The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana says the funds may be used for working capital, continued operating expenses or to help with remote work expenses. The businesses can receive up to a $10,000 grant with no local match.
Communities receiving funding:
- The City of Oakland City – $100,000
- The Town of Poseyville – $150,000
- The City of Princeton – $250,000
- The Town of Newburgh – $200,000
- Warrick County – $250,000
