Texas company buys Marbach

AUSTIN, TEXAS (Inside INdiana Business) — An Indiana-based land surveying and engineering company is under new ownership. Texas-based construction service firm SAM Companies has completed its acquisition of Marbach, Brady & Weaver and Marbach-Palm Inc., collectively known as Marbach, which has offices in Elkhart and New Carlisle.

SAM President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Solomon says this is the company’s ninth acquisition in five years. Solomon says this acquisition extends SAM’s reach further into the Great Lakes region.

“Marbach’s long-standing record of quality client service and well-aligned range of capabilities and market focus makes them an outstanding new partner to help strengthen our competitive advantages for clients and we are very pleased to have them joining the SAM team,” said Solomon.

SAM says some Marbach leadership staff will join the SAM team, including President Chris Marbach, who will focus on business development, project management and client relationships.

“Becoming part of a technically advanced industry leader like SAM is an outstanding opportunity for us to expand our regional presence, provide exciting opportunities for our people, and continue our long history of service well into the future. We are very excited about being part of SAM and look forward to the growth and success we know this will bring,” said Marbach.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
