ISP: Tip leads to arrest for child exploitation and possession of child pornography

PIMENTO, Ind. (WTHI) – Indiana State Police along with investigators from the Indiana State Police Cyber Crime & Investigative Technologies Section, as part of the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force, served a search warrant at 2249 East Cottom Drive in southern Vigo County Tuesday morning.

During their search of the home and buildings on the property, officials found dozens of pornographic pictures, videos and other items.

“Those items were previewed and investigated on scene using a Indiana Crimes Against Children Mobile Forensics Vehicle,” the press release sent by Indiana State Police said.

Our sister station WTHI at the scene could see officials removing computers and computer related items.

Thomas W. Julian, 67, was arrested for three counts of child exploitation and one count of possession of child pornography.

This investigation began in early June after Indiana State Police at the Putnamville Post received a tip alleging that Julian had and produced child pornography. Two victims have been identified in this case and officials are working to identify others.

Anyone who feels they may have been a victim of Thomas Julian, please contact ISP Detective Tony Guinn of the Putnamville Post at 765-653-4114.
