Lime announces scooter safety campaign
One of the companies behind the scooters we’ve seen pop up across the area is launching a safety campaign.
Lime is investing more than $3 million on its Respect the Ride initiative. It includes a special ad campaign and the creation of a safety ambassador program.
Ambassadors will be charged with educating communities about safe riding behavior and parking etiquette.
Lime also is asking riders to sign a safety pledge. The first 25,000 to sign it will also receive free Lime helmets.
