1 injured in train, box truck crash in Johnson County
JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – One person was injured in a crash involving a box truck and a train in Johnson County Wednesday morning.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to County Road 650 South, east of US 31 for a crash involving a train and a box truck.
Deputies said the driver of a westbound box truck, 24-year-old Adam Murdick, ran a stop sign as he attempted to beat the northbound train.
The back end of the truck was hit by the train.
Murdick was transported to the hospital with a complaint of pain. The injury is not life-threatening, according to the deputies.
