2 teens injured in Johnson County hit-and-run, in serious condition

UPDATE: Greenwood police say the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured two teens is described as a heavy-set man with brown hair. He was believed to have been wearing hospital scrubs at the time of the crash.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – Two teenagers were injured in a Johnson County hit-and-run early Wednesday morning.

According to the Johnson County dispatch, officers were called to the area of Worthsville Road and U.S. 31 around 4:30 a.m.

Both of the male victims were transported to the hospital. Police said the teens, aged 15 and 17, were initially in serious to critical condition. Police now describe the boys as stable.

Police are looking for a dark-colored 2009-2012 Chevrolet Traverse with heavy front-end damage. Police on Wednesday said the suspect is a heavy-set man who has brown hair. He was believed to have been wearing hospital scrubs at the time of the crash.
