INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Six teenagers were injured in a crash early Friday morning on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called just after 1:30 a.m. to the 8700 block of Rockville Road. That’s a residential area just west of Country Club Road.

“It is believed that the driver of a vehicle lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, ultimately striking a utility pole, a residence, and multiple decks of two residences. Gas lines were also damaged during the vehicle accident,” IMPD Public Information Officer Tommy Thompson said in a release.

All seven people inside the vehicle — a 17-year-old driver, an 18-year-old male passenger, and five passengers between the ages of 15 and 17 — were transported to local hospitals.

The driver of the pickup truck was given a blood draw, as is standard IMPD policy.

No other information was immediately available.
